First Circular

We are organizing a symposium dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague Judah Eisenberg who passed away last March. The symposium will be held in Tel Aviv and Bethlehem on April 14 - 16, 1999. The talks at the symposium will revolve around Judah's research interests, including:

• Quark-gluon plasma (theory and experiment)
• Superheavy elements
• Baryons and nuclei in the large N_c limit
• Nucleon spin in the skyrmion and chiral soliton models
• Spin structure of the nucleon
• The proton spin based on chiral dynamics
• Medium effects in nuclei
• Medium energy physics
• Strangeness = -2 nuclear physics
• Thermodynamics of and phase transitions in hot nuclei and other small many-body systems

Location:

The first two days of the symposium will be held on the Tel Aviv University campus. The sessions of the third day are intended to be held on the Bethlehem University campus.
